I need iPod Help! Please!?

I just got a ipod, but i got it from a pawn shop. So what im trying to do now is to earase everything from the last persons stuff from the ipod. However i dont know how to change/earase the name of the person in the ipod. I dont want the name "selma" in my ipod, i want my name to be in it. So please someone help me! Thank You :)
