Question about HSV-1 (oral )?

I recently tested positive for this condition, however, I called to ask if this condition was acute and I was told that as of now that cannot be determined. I was also told that if things persist, I may want to be screened again. What the hell does that mean? I've never had a cold sore in my life and I know that I could be an asymptotic carrier, but I don't understand why I was told that I may want to be screened again.
